Gholson, Arthur Gipson, Clarence M. Griffin, John Harper, Jr., Raymond C. Haston, Jr., Edward Honor, Clifton Houston, Samuel A. Howell, Sr., Samuel Hurst, Sr., Avery J. Jackson, Chester F. The men of XAL Chapter, mostly active and retired military officers, government civilians and businessmen, are leaders in the community and are constantly striving to project the positive image of Alpha men as Servants of All. The brothers participate in various youth and community programs throughout the Northern Virginia Community, including tutorial and mentoring projects such as “Alpha Academy” and “Project Alpha”. Additionally, XAL is a proud sponsor of Boy Scout Troop #1906.

Additionally, Xi Alpha Lambda is also a strategic partner of the Ira Dorsey Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc. founded in honor of our late brother, Bro. Ira Dorsey. This organization is committed to providing one-time cash scholarships to prospective college students who met certain academic and extracurricular criteria. Over the years, the Ira Dorsey Fund has provided financial assistance scholarships ranging from $500.00 to $1,500.00 to over ninety-five young men and women from all over Northern Virginia, Maryland and the greater metropolitan Washington D.C. area in pursuit of education in institutions of higher learning throughout the country.

The brothers are continually at work in ongoing efforts to hold the Light of Alpha high in every aspect of life. We are a proud brotherhood and chapter with rich roots in service and scholarship.
